A mining client commissioned the construction of seven rectangular High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) storage tanks. These tanks were specifically designed to be integrated into service trucks for efficient, light weight, on-site maintenance at various mine sites.
The client's own design specifications were followed during the fabrication process. Each tank was fabricated by Fusion using high-quality HDPE sheets and steel reinforced HDPE fittings for enhanced durability and performance. The fusion fabrication process entailed the use of plastic extrusion welding techniques, ensuring a seamless and resilient bond between the HDPE sheets and the fittings. The tanks were crafted to be portable, allowing them to be conveniently moved around different mine sites for easy vehicle servicing.
After the completion of the fusion fabrication, all tanks underwent a hydrotesting procedure to validate their structural integrity. Additionally, a quality assurance check was conducted, ensuring that the tanks complied with the client's specific requirements.
The successful fabrication of seven rectangular HDPE storage tanks has enabled the client to enhance their vehicle servicing capabilities within mining operations.
