Fusion Plastics’ site services and in-house fabrication teams collaborated with Enviropacific to install pipework and construct storage tanks for a temporary water filtration plant at Sydney Water's Nepean Water Filtration Plant in NSW. The plant receives raw water from the Nepean Dam, serving Picton, Bargo, The Oaks, and Oakdale.
For this project, Fusion manufactured an 80,000L (80kL) fabricated plastic tank designed to DVS 2205 and BS EN 12573 standards. This tank, tailored to Enviropacific’s specifications, included seismic anchor plates (designed using DVS2205 guidelines and AS1170 standards) and appropriately sized lifting lugs (DVS2205).
Fusion’s site services team installed 355mm HDPE gravity-fed raw water lines to connect temporary water treatment units. They also connected various process pipelines for water treatment, storage, dosing, and the treated water outlet. HDPE spools were assembled both in-house and on-site.
Fusion Plastics extends gratitude to Enviropacific and Sydney Water for this opportunity and looks forward to future collaborations.
