The Fusion Plastic Fabrication Team in Queensland recently delivered a suite of custom chemical dosing cabinets and chemical dosing panels for Sydney Water’s Upper South Creek Advanced Water Recycling Centre. Constructed from durable polypropylene and clear polycarbonate, each chemical dosing cabinet was tailored to meet site-specific dosing and safety requirements.
Each chemical dosing panel was fabricated with precision, including preparation, gluing, and assembly of internal pipework. We utilised Schedule 80 UPVC piping and Asahi Type 21 ball valves, along with pressure relief and pressure retaining valves. These were supplied by our sister company, Fusion Piping, enabling faster lead times and economical delivery.
A project requirement was to colour-code all pipework for easy visual identification of the chemicals conveyed. To ensure a durable and professional finish, the assembled piping systems were externally primed and spray-painted using industry-grade coatings.
Each chemical dosing cabinet was built with integrated safety features, including:
Cabinetry was constructed from chemical-resistant polypropylene with polycarbonate viewing doors, offering robust protection and visibility. These materials are ideally suited for handling the harsh chemicals commonly used in water treatment processes.
The dosing panels and cabinets were designed to safely handle and deliver a variety of water treatment chemicals, including:
